Everything You Need to Know About Choice of the Gods

The apocalypse the gods feared is real. A force older than the gods is waking, and mortals and gods must choose sides. Alexa discovers she has a choice the other cursed don't: she can refuse the gods entirely. Jericho must negotiate between a weakening divine authority and a growing mortal rebellion. The romance is tested by the choice: the gods want Alexa as a weapon; Jericho wants her free. Both can't happen.

This is where the series gets philosophical without losing momentum. The 'choice' isn't binary, there are three or four legitimate paths forward. Character moments shine because stakes are highest. The ancient force waking is genuinely unsettling, not just a plot device.

War violence, existential threats, divine-level destruction, character betrayals, sacrifice, major character death (not the mains but significant).

Alexa refuses to be either gods or apocalypse's pawn, she chooses a third path that involves severing her curse. It works, but costs her the bond with Jericho. Jericho doesn't die, but they're separated. A new god dies. The ancient force is held back but not defeated. Book ends open for the final two books.

Readers following the Curse of the Gods series. For those who love 'no good option' plots. If you appreciated The Priory of the Orange Tree's scope with character intimacy. NOT for readers avoiding cliffhangers or wanting easy answers.
