The Stonewater Kingdom

Sybil is a Diviner at Aisling Cathedral, one of six foundling girls who drown in a spring to dream visions from the Omens. When the other Diviners start vanishing, she leaves with Rodrick, a knight who believes in none of it. Gothic atmosphere first, romance a slow second.

The Stonewater duology closes with Sybil Delling as the king's drugged, captive bride while he parades tournaments across the kingdom to shore up his rule. A nameless fighter climbing the ranks might be her way out. Gothic, grim, and a little more heat than book one.
