The Crucible

Lyra enters a deadly tournament run by the gods, where the prize is a wish powerful enough to save her dying sister. The catch is she must team up with the most infuriating, arrogant competitor in the games, a man with his own reasons for winning and zero interest in playing nice. This is a forced-proximity, enemies-to-lovers fantasy with real stakes, sharp banter, and a tournament arc that keeps the tension ratcheting up with every challenge.

The second Crucible book picks up after the contest for Olympus, with Lyra trapped in Tartarus among the Titans and Hades trying to reach her. Bigger and angrier than book one.

The Crucible trilogy finale, and the end of Lyra and Hades' story. You need The Games Gods Play and The Things Gods Break first.
