Redeeming 6 opens with Joey Lynch underwater. The addiction he circled in Saving 6 has its hooks in him now, the pressure at home keeps rising, and the only person he has ever truly trusted is the one he is most afraid of failing. Joey fights to get clean and prove himself worthy of Aoife Molloy, but the odds are stacked against him and the water keeps rising. Aoife refuses to walk away. She fights Joey's self-destruction with everything she has while quietly drowning herself, out of her depth in a world she does not understand and armed mostly with stubbornness and a fiery heart. Hearts break, mend, and break again, and the later stretch of the book runs alongside the events of Johnny and Shannon's story, this time seen from inside the Lynch house.
This is the highest-rated book in the series, 4.6 on Goodreads across 300,000-plus ratings, and the reason is simple: it is the emotional core of the whole thing. Joey's recovery arc has no shortcuts in it. Walsh lets him fail, lets it cost him, and makes the small wins feel enormous. Aoife gets her own arc rather than existing as a prize for Joey getting better, and the back half hands out answers to questions the first two books deliberately left open. When readers say these books wrecked them, this is usually the one they mean.

Book four of six, closing out Joey and Aoife's duology. Its timeline overlaps with Binding 13 and Keeping 13, so several major events land differently once you have seen both sides. Taming 7 follows with a lighter couple from the same friend group, which most readers badly need by this point.
