Everything You Need to Know About A Game of Retribution

Hera wants Zeus overthrown, and she wants Hades to help her do it. He refuses, and the Goddess of Women does not take rejection well. As punishment she sentences him to a series of labors, killing mythical monsters, recovering deadly stolen artifacts, each task nastier than the last, all of it designed to pull his attention away from Persephone at the worst possible moment. Persephone is grieving a loss of her own and questioning whether she has what it takes to be Queen of the Underworld.

Meanwhile a murder has tempers flaring across Olympus, and Hades needs to bring the killer to justice before the gods boil over into open war. The labors drive a wedge between him and Persephone right when their relationship can least afford one.

Explicit sexual content, violence, grief and the death of a loved one.

For readers already invested in St. Clair's Hades and Persephone universe who want the story from his side. The dual-series structure means some events overlap with the Persephone-led books, which some readers love and others find repetitive. Know which reader you are. Not a starting point for the series.

Book 2 of the Hades Saga, between A Game of Fate and A Game of Gods. The saga retells events from the Hades x Persephone books from Hades's point of view, so this runs parallel to Persephone's side of the story rather than ahead of it. Read A Game of Fate first.
