Dark Fae
Dark Fae
A paranormal romance set in a dark fae world where warriors and magic dominate the world. The story centers on a dangerous attraction between characters from opposing sides. Action, intrigue, and supernatural passion intertwine throughout.
Everything You Need to Know About Dark Fae
Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac series, book one. Four dark fae warriors bound to zodiac signs have a job: breed with mortal women to create a bloodline that will save their dying world. The heroine is chosen as the potential mother, but nothing goes as planned. What starts as a transactional arrangement transforms into something messier, genuine connection amid supernatural obligation. It's a fae dark academia romance with serious bully romance energy and zero moral hand-wringing.
Peckham and Valenti commit fully to the dark romance. The heroes are actually morally compromised, they're invading, they're using women, and the book doesn't pretend otherwise while still making them fall hard. The fae mythology is detailed and used creatively. Chemistry across all four love interests (yes, reverse harem) is immediate and sizzling. The pacing is relentless; this is impossible to put down.
Sexual coercion and non-con (the heroine is forced into a breeding program). Explicit sexual content. Violence. Drug use. Captivity. Abusive dynamics that soften but don't fully disappear.
The heroine discovers the breeding program is a lie, the heroes actually need her blood, not her womb. She uses this knowledge to seize power over them. By the end, consent becomes mutual (mostly), but the power imbalance never fully resolves, which is kind of the point. One of the four dies, though Peckham/Valenti play with the rules of fae resurrection in book two.
Dark romance readers who love Zodiac Academy energy and want explicit spice. If you love bully romance, fae worldbuilding, or reverse harem setups, this is essential. Not for: readers who need heroes to be likeable from page one, or who are uncomfortable with the heroine being coerced into sexual situations (even if she eventually consents).
Book one of Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac. Ends on a cliffhanger. Each book covers a different zodiac sign and pairing, but the main cast appears throughout.
